300 men in capes and underwear

The sky was gloomy today despite what the Weatherman said, so we went for a movie – 300. Now ladies, if you think this is a war film for men with big egos, you’re right. But it’s REALLY worth the $8 for YOU as well. Wanna know why? 300 men with perfect bodies, that’s why. I’m not one to ogle men (I mean it) but wow! I don’t care if it was the makeup that enhanced those chiseled abs. The whole hour and 57 mins was just plain eye candy.

I’ll skip the review simply because it’s Saturday night, and I’m lazy. Also there wasn’t much depth to the movie – just like The Notebook. It was a simple film, with visually enticing graphics, tasteful nude scenes (probably not if you watch it in KL), and (commendable, yet) glorified war heroes. Adapted from one of Frank Miller’s (same guy who wrote Sin City) graphic novel 300, this one’s definitely worth a watch.

Ladies, I promise you’ll swoon over King Leonidas’ love for his wife as well as his ahem (combat) skills. And guys, you’ll all wish you have a wife as altruistic and loyal as Queen Gorgo.
